It wasn’t ecstasy I felt | Hakudoshi

It wasn’t ecstasy I felt, but compassion.
Latched deep into summer;
Its teeth driving in.
Its teeth driving us home—the home between homes.
Between two worlds.
Third eyes blazing—compassion in my dreams.
Thick, sheetless dreams.
The hammers in my head pound.
The self-containment;
The need to please…swift,
Little backward kisses.
Hot pavement…
Have I set the scene?
Do you follow?
I am the photographer.
I am going to develop and show you to you, myself to me.
